The Diaper Genie Elite is great item to have in our nursery. The system holds a lot of diapers before we have to empty it, which is great! We do find that when we open the Diaper Genie by stepping on the petal (a really handy feature) we can smell the poopy diapers. Usually it does a pretty good job of keeping out the smell if it's not open but occasionally we have to dump it before it's full because the smell is not contained. Despite these concerns, I find the Diaper Genie really useful and much better than just using a regular garbage pail. I'd suggest it for all first time parents (as many other parents had suggested it to us).

We had the original 10 years ago and it worked great. My Step son has your newest model, and I can say it sucks compared to the original. It does not handle or trap odours as well, why managers and engineers think they had to improve on a simple and effective device is beyond any reason. Don't waste your money on this one, there are garbage pails that handle odours better. This is just an example of stupid product development, with no reason for it.

Wasn't convinced I needed this at first but now can't imagine how I would live without it. It eliminates odours, avoids overflowing garbage pails and most importantly is dog proof. I love it!

This is a great system, it ensures that the diapers do not smell and is quite easy and convenient to use. We actually have 2, one for the nursery and one in our bedroom - the 2 places we change diapers. Highly recommend this product.

We got this for my wife's shower along with some extra refills. Very easy to use and nice and compact. The inside closing seal helped keep the diaper smell down too which was great.
