What Vaccines Will My Baby Need?

Vaccines play an important role in your baby’s health. Your doctor will determine the best vaccinations and schedule for your baby but generally in the first two months, you can expect the following:

Hepatitis B (Hep B) – given at birth and then again within two months of age
Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP) – a series of injections, starting at two months of age
H. influenzae type B (Hib) – a series of injections, starting at two months of age
Inactivated Polio (IPV) – a series of injections, starting at two months of age
Pneumococcal Vaccine (PCV) – a series of injections, starting at two months of age1

Combination vaccines are recommended so as to limit the number of shots your baby will need. Some parents are concerned about vaccinations so ask lots of questions and do your own research in advance.
