ultimate peanut butter sandwich
1/4 cup hazelnuts
2 tablespoons pasteurized honey
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
4 thick slices bread
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
1. Preheat oven to 350. Toast hazelnuts on a baking sheet for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, and once cool rub off the skins using a towel or your fingers. Using a mortal and pestler, crush the nuts into small pieces.
2. In a small bowl, combine honey and cinnamon. Lightly toast bread. Spread peanut button on 2 slices and top with crushed hazelnuts. Spread honey onto the remaining 2 slices and place face down on the first two slices, making sandwiches.
